I’ve always loved fashion and style ever since I was a child. I treat my body like a blank canvas and get really creative when it comes to dressing up. It’s a means of self-expression.
These days, whether I’m about to perform or just want to look a little more glam, I find myself reaching for pieces from byVINNIK—small batch, beautiful, inclusive clothing that is ethically produced and uses existing, deadstock, and vintage textiles. byVINNIK is the brainchild of Suzanne Vinnik, an fabulous and stylish opera singer and photographer with whom I share many common friends in the classical music industry. She launched her brand in 2019 and it has garnered so much attention and praise since then. I’ve been hooked since my first purchase in 2022.
I love all the pieces in my collection but the three above are the ones I’ve worn the most. It’s an investment, for sure, and one I’m happy to make. I feel great each time I wear a byVINNIK item not only because the clothing itself looks great but also because I know that I’m supporting a fellow artist’s business. In addition to that, I’m helping the slow fashion movement, and ultimately making the earth a better place.
